Peer Review
All research articles and many other article types published by the journals of the Islamic Art Research Center of Negareh undergo a complete peer-review process. This review typically involves assessment by two peer reviewers. Each journal may have variations in its peer-review processes. To view the specific peer-review policy for each journal, please refer to the respective journal's website.
Peer-Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to journals published by the Islamic Art Research Center of Negareh are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief, who determines whether the manuscript is suitable for peer review. If the Editor-in-Chief is listed as an author on a manuscript or has any conflict of interest regarding any submitted article—such as being included in the list of authors or having any other competing interests related to a specific submission—another member of the editorial board will be assigned to oversee the peer-review process.
Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to independent experts for peer review. Editors make decisions based on the reviewers' reports, and these reports, along with the editor's decision regarding the manuscript, are communicated to the authors. Authors should note that even alongside a positive review, concerns raised by other reviewers may fundamentally undermine the manuscript and result in its rejection.
All journals published by the Islamic Art Research Center of Negareh use a double-blind review process. Both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous.
Peer Reviewers
Authors may suggest potential reviewers if they wish; however, the final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief. Authors should not suggest recent collaborators or colleagues working at the same institution. Authors who wish to suggest reviewers may mention this in their cover letter and should provide, if possible, the institutional email address or information that assists the editor in verifying the identity of the suggested reviewer (e.g., ORCID ID or Scopus ID).
Authors should not exclude an excessive number of individuals, as this may hinder the peer-review process. Please note that the editor may still select reviewers from the excluded list.
Intentionally misleading information, such as suggesting reviewers with fake names or email addresses, will result in the rejection of the manuscript and may lead to further investigation in accordance with the misconduct policy.
