Guide for Authors

Dear esteemed authors intending to submit an article to the Sofalineh Journal, please carefully review the following points:

  1. Before submitting your article, read the Author Guidelines and prepare your manuscript accordingly.

  2. The journal will only review articles submitted through its online submission system. Therefore, you must register on the journal's system to submit an article.

  3. Dear authors, please note: As the publication of an ORCID iD has been mandated for journals by the Ministry, it is necessary to complete the ORCID iD field for all authors in the 'Authors' section during article submission.

  5. 60 to 70% of the references in the article must be selected from publications and journals indexed in Scopus (Elsevier's large abstract and citation database).

  6. Please note that submitted Persian articles will be checked by the Behin Yab similarity detection system to determine the level of similarity with published scientific documents. English articles will be checked by the iThenticate similarity detection system.

  7. The Sofalineh Research Journal accepts research articles according to the following regulations:

    • The journal office accepts articles electronically only via the submission system at: http://www.syssofalinehjournal.ir

    • Articles must be the result of the author(s)' original research (Research Articles).

    • The journal does not accept translations, reports, short communications, or Review Articles.

    • Submitted articles must not have been previously published in another journal or be simultaneously submitted elsewhere.

    • Articles must be in Persian, adhering to correct writing principles and the Persian style guide. Authors must diligently correct any typographical and spelling errors before submission. Authors are required to follow the writing guidelines of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature and the grammatical rules of word separation.

    • The author(s) are responsible for the content of the article.

    • The journal is free to accept, reject, or request modifications to articles.

    • Articles will be published only after peer review approval and editorial board acceptance.

    • References should preferably be from the last 10 years. Avoid using very old sources if newer ones are available.

    • Depending on the topic, one or two citations should refer to articles from the Sofalineh Research Journal.

    • Articles should have a maximum of 6000 words.

    • Articles must be uploaded to the journal system in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) on A4-sized pages.

    • Authors must carefully review and check all in-text citations and the reference list. The number of in-text citations and end references must match. References not cited in the text should not be listed, and all cited sources must be included in the reference list.

Important Notes:

  • The journal sends the electronic acceptance version only to the corresponding author's email. Printing physical copies or providing them to universities, institutions, and research centers is the author's responsibility.

  • All payments on this system must be made exclusively through the secure online bank gateway. Payment via bank deposit slips or card-to-card transfer is not possible.

  • All references in the Extended English Abstract file must be formatted according to the journal's citation style in English. References originally in Persian should be translated into English using the same format, followed by "[in Persian]" in quotation marks. (See example below):

    • Akbari, Fatemeh (2013) "The Ritual Origin of the Story of Jesus Needle with a Comparative Approach to Egyptian Mythology and Kish Mehr", Mashhad: Ferdowsi University Publishing Institute, Shahnameh Conference and Ritual Research, pp. 71-102 [in Persian].

  • Please note: In the Persian article format, the Acknowledgements section should be placed after the Conclusion and before the Footnotes or References. In English articles, the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS section follows the same placement.
